Community left in shock after recent murders

The community of Phalaborwa has been left in shock after the gruesome death of two women recently.

The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects who allegedly shot and killed Lufuno Deborah Mulaudzi (27) on Friday night, November 19. The incident happened at about 21:15 at Grey Flats, where the deceased was reportedly with a male companion in front of his rented flat. An unknown suspect approached them and demanded cell phones. Two other suspects also arrived and also demanded cell phones and a handbag.

“The male companion (35) allegedly fled the scene and the three suspects remained with Mulaudzi, where they allegedly shot her and took two cell phones and a handbag and fled on foot. Another woman, Pontsho Ngomane, was laid to rest on Saturday, November 20 after she was allegedly attacked with a screwdriver by an unknown perpetrator.

It is alleged that she was attacked at around 19:00 on her way home at Namakgale Zone C on November 13. She was found by strangers laying helpless along the road. She succumbed to her injuries at hospital. She leaves behind her son, siblings and her parents.
