Vutisani opens her own traditional restaurant

The restaurant employs qualified chefs who have not been able to pursue their careers.

Vutisani Khosa is a 24-year-old young woman from Homu 14B outside Giyani who started two businesses of which one is a traditional food restaurant, to reduce unemployment in her village.

“I started these businesses with the hope that it will reduce the unemployment rate amongst the youth from my village as it’s hard to find a job in our country no matter how qualified you are,” said Vutisani.

The restaurant employs qualified chefs who have not been able to pursue their careers.

“It also put food on the table of their families,” she said.

“Ka Homu- traditional food restaurant mainly focusses on traditional healthy food and covers all cultures and traditions.

“We offer starch (pap, dumblings and samp), sides (chakalaka, achaar and cabbage) and relish to go with tripe, steak and wors, Makanyanisi, chicken and chicken hard body and ox liver.

We also have fries and bunny chows.

The food is sold at an affordable price with a free drink for each plate ordered,” she added.

She also owns a cleaning service business that sells cleaning products and renders cleaning services to companies and households.

She told Herald that her cleaning company, Orvilog, is a fast-growing enterprise that understands the importance of a clean and healthy environment.

“The company was founded on the principles of warm, friendly and efficient services.

Our products are branded as “v-clean”, and offer products for kitchens, bathrooms and hand-washing detergents.

Our cleaning services on the other hand are for commercial and residential buildings,” she said.
