Tzaneen Star Spares burned down last night 2 October at around 22:00.

A post from one of the businesses within the premises read as follows:
“It’s with great sadness that we have to announce that our building burnt to the ground tonight. Thank you to every community member and firefighter who helped tonight to fight the fire, who saved what could still be saved and who offered support to the Venue D’Light Family! Tzaneen has the best community, thanks to everyone involved!
Joshua na die reën se vertonings sal steeds voortgaan. Meer inligting oor Venue ens sal volg.”

The business owners however asked to not make any comment as they are still dealing with the tragedy that has happened.

Mopani District Municipality and the Mopani Disaster Center have refrained from commenting, stating that the matter still needs to be investigated and brought to light of the spokesperson, Odas Ngobeni.
