GALLERY: #TourdeLimpopo – Stage 2 ends in Tzaneen

The teams departed from Polokwane and headed for Tzaneen this morning 16 May.

They tackled 96.6km with an elevation gain of 1381m.

Connor Brown was crowned ‘King of the Mountain’, whilst Alexandra Konychev was handed over the white shirt for ‘Best Young Rider.’

H.B. Kruger was awarded, ‘Most Aggressive Rider.’

Team Dimension took to the stage during the prize giving ceremony during the podium celebrations.

Team Dimension Data winners for stage 2. Prince Hendricks 2nd, Alendra Konychev, 3rd and Connor Brown 1st. Benjamin Mathebula from the GTM stand with them on the podium.

Stage 3 will start tomorrow, 17 May at 09:00 and the route will take the cyclists from Tzaneen to the Coach House.

Sheldon Muller (18) one of the youngest cyclist during this year’s Tour de Limpopo hails from Tzaneen and is an old Merensky High School learner.

Muller is part of Team Limpopo.

According to him there is a lot of competition, as he is the youngest that participate in the u/23 age group.
