One useful tool to improve understanding is to let your team undertake personality and behaviour assessments, “With a greater level of understanding, team members begin to see one another differently. This allows them to adjust their own behaviour for better results, and they’re able to interpret others’ behaviour with more insight and empathy,” says Steyn.

Steyn also emphasised that employees must be aware of their purpose, “Every job exists for a reason, it is all part of a bigger picture. People who understand their job’s wider purpose are happier, more engaged, and more creative.”
