“Instead of him playing the role of a father figure, he decided to violate the rights of the vulnerable girl.”

It is alleged that two girls asked for a lift from a man in a BMW in the late hours of Wednesday, April 4.

They requested a lift from Lulekani to their homes, communication officer, Constable Mabunda, said in a statement.

“They got a lift with the BMW and instead of the driver taking them home he drove to the bushes,” he said.

“Apparently the suspect allegedly climbed out of the vehicle with one of the girls and he forced her to lie down and proceeded to rape her before abandoning both the girls in the bushes,” he said.

After driving away, the police were informed and the man was arrested.
