TZANEEN: Farm workers seriously injured after taxi overtakes truck
The community of Lorraine in the Sekororo area, were greeted by terrible news this morning after a truck and taxi collided on D21 road en-route to Tzaneen.
According to the ‘Sekororo News No Fear No Favour’ Facebook page, at about 06:00 a taxi on its way to Tzaneen collided with a truck which was transporting farm workers to a farm in the area.

It is reported that the two vehicles were travelling in the same direction when the taxi overtook the truck.
According to an eyewitness the truck was standing at the stop sign to turn, while turning to the village, the taxi accelerated and tried to overtake the truck.
Both occupants from the truck and the taxi were seriously injured and were taken to Sekororo Hospital.
However the two drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries from the incident.
The police were called to the scene and they have begun their investigations.
