Vossie dancers excel at Limpopo dance competition

The past weekend saw some of our dancers compete in the Dance Fusion Limpopo competition.

Dancers from all ages and levels competed against one another.

The following dancers were awarded first place in their category:

Solo dancer: Marthinus Grobler in Hip Hop (88%) and open (91%)

Group dancers: Suné Bezuidenhout, Ruchelle Jacobs and Anneri Stassen in an open group (80.5%) as well as a contemporary group (91.5%)

The following dancers were awarded second place in there category:

Solo dancer: Anneri Stassen in contemporary (83%)

Group dancers: Suné Bezuidenhout and Ruchelle Jacobs in Modern (88.5%).

The following dancers were awarded third place in there category:

Solo dancer: Marthinus Grobler (85%) in open dance style.

Group dancers: Suné Bezuidenhout and Ruchelle Jacobs in Modern (80%). Ruchelle Jacobs and Suné Bezuidenhout with an open duet (78.5%).

Ruchelle Jacobs were placed fifth in Open with 76.5%.

Marthinus Grobler received a special award for being a dynamic dancer and the award for the best solo performance. The dance place contemporary group: Suné Bezuidenhout, Ruchelle Jacobs and Anneri Stassen received the award for best choreography, best overall group and best overall performance.
