UPDATE: Man drowns in Manoutsa pool

The Police in Hoedspruit are appealing to members of the community in Hoedspruit and the surrounding villages to help them identify the body of a man who drown at in a swimming pool at Manoutsa Park on Saturday September 3.

“It is alleged that the man between the ages 30 and 35 was found dead inside one of the swimming pools, wearing a white vest and a cream white tracksuit”, sated Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, Limpopo police spokesperson.

“As the management of Manoutsa Park, we convey sympathy to the family of the deceased and this tragic event has left us traumatized”, said Martie Pretorius, Manoutsa Park Manager.

According to information provided to the Herald, the day visitor had no identification on him when he was found on Sunday morning and the cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

“It is the management’s priority to have the necessary safety precautionary measures at all times and the Hoedspruit police have Manoutsa Park’s full cooperation to help solve this inquest”, added Pretorius.

Anyone who can assist in his identification may go to Hoedspruit Police Station and ask for Captain Moriri while police investigations are still continuing.
