HAENERTSBURG: Iron Crown Trail Run enjoyed thoroughly
The eighth annual Iron Crown Trail Run organised by Rotary Haenertsburg was held on July 8 and once again it was a huge success.
There were 398 runners who competed, 89 people ran the 21km race, 172 ran 10km and 137 ran 5km.
The winners of the 21km race:
Men Open: Kokotjo Gumboin first place, Johan Canters in second and Leon Roode in third.
Junior boys: Casper Venter in first place and Deon Bovill in second.
Veteran men: James Stewart in first place, followed by Ismail Ebrahim in second and Arend Henning in third.
Masters men: Freddy Mohale in first place, Mario Alvarez in second and Gromin Cloete in third.
Grandmaster: Johan Stears
Women open: Donna Greyling in first place, Mienkie Els in second and Ella Venter in third.

Veteran women: Mienkie Els in first place, followed by Louise van den Dool and Shirley Scriven in third.
The winners of the 10km race are:
Men open: Rufus Makgoba, Duncan Mhlari and Luke Meyer.
Junior boys: Luke Meyer, Ethan Jones and David Bullinger.
Veteran men: Rigardt Maartens.
Master men: Gert van Emmenis, Willy Mathale, Pieter Grimbeek.
Grandmaster men: Bun Noel, Charles Luther, Mick Noel.
Women Open: Carmen Schoeman, Michelle Meyer, Angie Paterson.
