#SAPS crack down on a trio of cases in Limpopo

The relentless efforts by members of the Intelligent-Led-Joint Clean-up Opetation in the Limpopo Province continue to yield positive results.

This operation was up and running until this morning, composed of various Police Units focussing on a trio of crimes including theft of cars, firearms and other serious crimes where ten stolen cars and four illegal firearms were recovered.

In the Sesshego cluster outside Polokwane, a 26 year old suspect was arrested for theft of motor vehicles. One red Toyota corolla, stolen at Westonaria in the Gauteng Province, a grey Toyota corolla, a black Jeep cheroke and a white Mercedes Benz Vito were also seized, all with their engine numbers tampered with.

The estimated value of the recovered vehicles is over R600 000.

In Ga-Mashashane village outside Polokwane, three suspects aged between 26 and 35 were arrested for a series of bussiness robberries and ATM bombings which they committed  in the Lebowakgomo, Polokwane and Seshego Policing areas for some weeks ago.

The BMW vehicle that was utilized during the commission of these crimes was also recovered with a number of false registration numbers inside.

Meanwhile in Dennilton, Nebo and Groblesdal, two suspects aged 27 and 43 were arrested for several cases of carjacking and theft of motor vehicles. Four stolen cars from Pretoria West, Tembisa and Germiston in the Gauteng Province were recovered.

Another 33 suspects aged between 21 and 44 were arrested for possession of stolen motor vehicles, common robberries, house robberries, business robberies, etc.

The areas covered were Tubatse, Thohoyandou, Tzaneen, Dennilton, Mahwelereng, Westernburg, BelaBela, Mokopane, Saselamani and Makhado Policing areas.

Two stolen cars, four firearms and ammunition, and four cell phones were recovered.

The suspects arrested during this operation will appear before differrent Magistrate Courts soon.
