Local singer reaching for the stars

There is no stopping local RnB songstress, Nomonde Mafumo, as her musical career continues to flourish

Mafumo (24) has recently released her new music video, Hold my hand, now available on YouTube.

The video was produced by her recording company, AveryProductions, a local recording company owned by Odette Maseko.

She was signed to the company last year and she also writes the lyrics to her own songs.

Mafumo was born and bred in Nkambako Village outside Tzaneen and she began singing at the tender age of six at Sunday School.

“My dream is to take my music outside the country and to impact many lives through music.

I love sharing my gift with people and it gives me a good feeling,” Mafumo expressed.

She is currently working on her album, “Dreamer” and some of her singles on the album include, Love, Hold my hand and I am a woman.

The songstress is a also a full time student who is studying Bookkeeping at MSC College in Pretoria.

“I would like to appeal to the community at large to support local music as we depend a lot on their support.

And would also like to urge the business community to invest and support local artists as well,” added Mafumo.
