Securing American hip hop recording artist and record producer, Jermaine Lamarr Cole, better known by his stage name J. Cole, will most definitely put Omee Otis on the map as well as Tzaneen.
The mixtape consists of 13 songs of different genres and six features (J. Cole, King Monada, Tizzy Fresh, Blaqtown, Mello Snares and Nino).

Omee Otis has performed across the nation including known night clubs such as Europa, Blueroom Groove Lounge and TOPFLO. He is inspired by Riky Rick, Drake and J. Cole.
It took him two years to put together the mixtape after graduating as a qualified producer at the Soul Candi Institution and he is happy with the end product.

The mixtape will be available on July 3 as a free download.
He is an independent artist working together with his long time friend Dj Lim Train who also graduated under Soul Candi.
“Lim Train is one person who has always been on my side through thick and thin as my stage DJ and friend. He is someone that I can always rely on and trust with my music,” he said.
His goals include getting a record label, sponsors and endorsements, international recognition, to win awards and to work with Riky Rick and Cassper Nyovest.
“I am Currently planning on a school tour which will start in Tzaneen and move to Gauteng with the aim to inspire the youth and give them knowledge about the entertainment industry and how to pursue their dreams,” said Omee Otis.

Omee Otis advises upcoming or aspiring artists to take their time working on their music and only allow positive energy to influence their craft.
“Sometimes all it takes is one negative statement to get you down. The most important thing is to start, connect yourself and take every challenge as a form of growth,” he added.
