Miss Mopani crowned, and she is a Phalaborwa girl

Ntshuxeko Mukhari (23) from Namakgale in Phalaborwa won the right to be crowned Miss Mopani 2017.

Pageant queens from all over the Mopani District competed against each other for the title of Miss Mopani 2017 at Nkowankowa Community Hall last Sunday.

The nine gorgeous finalists competed in three stages before the top six were selected.

They competed in the casual wear, swimsuit and the ballgown stages before the question stage.

“It is a great feeling to have won the crown, I entered the Miss Mopani pageant particularly because I was ready for the challenges which come with being a role model to fellow young people,” said Mukhari.

Ouma Shai (20) was named the second princess and crowd favourite Selaelo Mahasha (16) from Nkowankowa was named the first princess.

The three winners all received prizes which range from vouchers, full photo shoot and portfolio by South African Modelling Youth Forum and a year of PR by Bahale Media.

Dj Tshepiso from Tshwale Events made the crowd to dance the night away as he kept on playing hit after hit.

The crowd was also entertained by live performances from Troy and Lucid Da Rapper.

The judging panel consisted of Gavaza Ledwaba, GTFM Head of News, Princess Modjadji, Miss Greater Tzaneen Royal Nobility 2014, Cyprian Mthembi, Mr Cultural Heritage Limpopo 2016 and Aliphantik, DJ and producer.

Aliphatik was part of the SABC 1 Masters of Spin season three’s top four.

” I would like to thank all the sponsors who include Tshwale Events, Theledi Beverages, Sword Entertainment and local radio stations and anyone who who contributed to the success of the event,” said Brian Mpangela, Orginiser of the Miss Mopani Pageants.
