A lonely bouquet for all in Tzaneen

Betton said that the lonely bouquet initiative is a great one to have in the community, because the people of Tzaneen need to reach out more to each other.

The Letaba Gardening Club recently spread its love with flowers to strangers in Tzaneen.

The club recently met at Blomskuur where they did the flower arrangements before they could give a lovely surprise to someone in need of the flowers.

The bouquet comes with a card which has inspirational words on it and a paper which asks the recipient to give feedback on the surprise gift.

This is the second time the club has embarked on the message of love through flowers.

The first time was in 2013 and it was well received by the strangers.

“I got the inspiration from an international flower magazine, where a young lady was giving lonely bouquets to strangers once a year in the hope of making them smile,” said Liz Betton, Letaba Gardening Club Secretary.

The club members consist of garden lovers in and around Tzaneen who meet once a month and share their love for gardening.

They also visit other people’s gardens to learn and grow their knowledge of gardening and they take turns in hosting each other.

This year’s International lonely bouquet day is on June 25, where people all over the world will be making someone feel special.
