Bursary Scam Making the Rounds in Limpopo
In need of a bursary? Well if you receive a message on social media telling you to apply for the Funza Lushaka Bursary, don’t count yourself all that lucky.
According to the Department of Education spokesperson Naledzani Rasila, a person claiming to be a member of the Limpopo Department of Education has recently been sending out a message on social media telling people to rush to the department to apply for a Funza Lushaka Bursary.
Rasila also stated that the Deputy Director in the bursary section of the department has been kept all too busy with calls from people unable to make it to the department offices.
The bursary office is urgently warning people of the scam and would like to make it known that if there is not a reference number included in the circular then it is most likely a scam. Also note that the department only uses select media to advertise such opportunities and even these notifications include a reference number.
Please contact the department for relevant information on bursaries before flocking to the offices.
