HOEDSPRUIT: Cash-in-transit vehicle bombed

A large group of robbers bombed a Fidelity cash-in-transit vehicle from Tzaneen close to The Oaks on Tuesday.

The suspects blocked the road and fired shots to bring the vehicle to a halt, according to Marius Jacobs of Northern Security.

“The criminals used explosives to blow up the cash van,” said Jacobs.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

No one sustained injuries and no arrests have been made yet.
