TZANEEN: Know your SAP sector commanders
The South African Police Services in the Tzaneen Cluster are readily available for 24 hours to attend to any policing related report, incident and complaint, accurately, professionally and on time.
Tzaneen police spokesperson, Sergeant Glenda Maimele said community members should be familiar with their sector commanders so that they know exactly who to contact when needed.
The following are the sector commanders and the clusters they are responsible for: Warrant Officer Windus Ngobeni is the sector commander for sector one which consist of Mopye, Kubyana, Motupa, Marirone, Mapitula, Setone, Sebabane, Moleketla and Kgwekwe. He can be contacted on 082 729 1370. For sector two which consists of Ga-Thako, Jonkong, Relela, Mphata Sediba, Setheni, Sethone, Morutji, Mohlakong, Leokwe, Leretjeni, Bokuta,Fobeni and Thapane is Warrant Officer Gezani Ngobeni. He can be contacted on 079 577 3924.
Captain Refilwe Sekoto is responsible for sector 3: Medipark, Fauna Park, Flora Park, Popagalana plots, New Industrial, Tzangeni, Aqua Park, Premier Park and Arbor Park. He can be contacted on 082 729 1228.
Warrant Officer James Maswanganyi is responsible for sector 4: CBD, Sentra Park and Old Industrial. He can be contacted on 082 724 6151.
Warrant Officer Robert Kubayi is responsible for sector 5: Pusela, Letsitele Valley Farms, Agatha farms, Sivurahl Farms, Hasivona plots, Hamawasha plots, Yamorna Plots, Ledzee plots, Pusela plots, Georges Valley farms, Magoebaskloof farms and Politsi. He can be contacted on 082 729 1404.
Sergeant Masedi Sekgota is responsible for sector 6: Tarentaal, Manor-vlei plots, Lushof plots, Broederstdroomdrift plots, Tarentaal plots, Beacon field plots, Doernhoek farms, Mielikloof farms and Deerpark farms. He can be contacted on 082 729 1284.
Maimele said community members are advised to phone the station first on 0153062129 and if they do not get a response they can then phone the cluster commander closest to them.
“If they cannot get hold of the cluster commander they can contact the operational commander, Lieutenant Colonel Tinus Erasmus on 082 7291262” said Maimele.
She added that if the operational commander is out of reach they can call the Vispol commander, Colonel Patrick Makhubele on 084 0579125.
“As a last resort they can phone the station commander, Brigadier Thomas Shingange on 0825658155,” she said. She concluded by saying that the community should feel free to use the suggestion box.
“Community members can drop in any crime information or complaint. They can even do so anonymously,” concluded Maimele.
