Emmanuel FC and Giyani Happy Boys to play derby

Emanuel FC will come face to face with Giyani Happy Boys FC this coming Saturday in a long-awaited derby between the two old rivals.

The two teams come from Dzingi-dzingi and Bode villages respectively, which are almost the same village since they are just few meters apart.
Kids from the two villages attend the same schools and are in the same social groups.
The rivalry between the two teams stems from their historical background, where their brothers and fathers used to play against each for fun on the dusty football fields even before the existence of the lower leagues.

Now that both teams are in the Motsepe Stream-A League, players in both teams will be motivated by the pride and legacy left behind by the older generation.
Emanuel FC drew 1-1 with Mikhado FC over the weekend, a sign that spells disaster in their upcoming match against Giyani Happy Boys, who is currently at the top of the league log.
Mikhado FC is on the wrong end of the league standings and the team can be relegated next season.

Emanuel FC is currently fifth on the log after six games with nine points. The team was third on the log just two weeks ago. Their coach will no doubt be looking for positive results on their upcoming match to help them move few up a few places in the league standings.
Meanwhile Giyani Happy Boys will approach the Saturday match with confidence knowing they are leading the league with 16 points out of six matches.

However, this number one position is not stable because Mpheni Home Defenders FC is just one point behind with 15 points out of five matches played.
One thing is for sure: This match is going to be tough for both sides, especially with the massive influx of supporters that are expected to fill up Giyani Stadium.
