They indicated this by embarking on a door-to-door crime awareness campaign at Matiko-Xikaya in Lulekani on Saturday, January 17.
Hundreds of families were reached through this initiative.
The community were handed pamphlets containing information on violence and gender-based violence (GBV).
The team did not leave any stone unturned and for the safety of the community, they searched suspicious persons and businesses. This initiative was in partnership with various stakeholders, including the Majeje Tribal Office, CPF, sub-forums and civilians on patrol.

The station commander, Lt Col Alinah, who led the operation, applauded the team that participated in the campaign for their dedication.
“This is a clear indication that our stakeholders are on the same page with the police in the battle against crime through our community policing strategy.
“I therefore urge everyone to join us in making South Africa a safe and crime free environment,” she said.
Sgt Reoh Mabunda, spokesman for the Lulekani Police Station, told the Herald that they want to encourage residents to report criminal activities in their area.
He also encouraged the community to utilise the contact details for reporting crimes or for any enquiries regarding their work.
