Moss Football Academy on the rise

Moss Creations Football Academy hopes to produce the next elite superstars.

Moss Creations Football Academy based in Kagiso has made significant strides despite being a recently established club of less than a year old.

According to the chairperson and founder of the club, Lwando Moss, the club is still in a developing stage, and are their teams growing having participated in more regional tournaments. The club primarily competes in the Mogale City Junior Soccer League and Lwando added that the club competes in other various tournaments in the West Rand region.

“We have participated in other special tournaments like the Mayor’s Cup, Mogale City Ward Games, and other local tournaments of which we are proud,” Lwando said.

The academy boasts four teams in various age groups from U13 boys to U17 boys. Lwando further confirms that his players are challenging for top honours on the league table and are holders of some big prizes more recently.

”With our U13 team, we won the Ward Games Championship and the Longbase Gcina Championship. Our U15s are currently placed second in the Mogale City Juniors League and lastly, some of our U17 players received individual awards being recognised as the best players during the award ceremony that took place after Ward Games Championship,” Lwando said.

He added with the players being recognised and the teams winning some silverware the academy is building a solid foundation for the long term.

“The academy strives to compete against the best and develop players.”
