The talented 14-year-old South African superbike racer from Ruimsig who goes by the nickname “Ora” wants to win the MotoGP world championship. He has already won more than 62 podiums, so he is doing well. He did have one more dream, though, and that was to meet Brad Binder, who is his hero.

The 2016 Moto3 World Champion Brad Binder, 27, one of only three South Africans to ever hold the title of motorcycle grand prix world champion, also got his start in this sport at a very young age. He began racing in karts at the age of eight and attained the title of national champion. He switched to two wheels two years later and hasn’t looked back since. He is one of the most committed and effective racers on the MotoGP grid and is currently in his ninth season with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team.

The young fan was brought to the Red Star Raceway in Delmas under the guise of a media interview after close coordination with Ora’s parents. At the appropriate time, Brad began to move down the track while being accompanied by a group of Sixty60 drivers.

“Ora was shocked when he realised I was there, and it was incredibly moving to see. In the years to come, I’m excited to watch this young man establish himself both locally and internationally,” said Brad.

Tens of thousands of customers receive grocery deliveries from Sixty60 every day.
“We wanted to provide Ora with a magical moment. As we also strive for exceptional performance, his story and keen ambition undoubtedly resonate with our company,” said Neil Schreuder, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for the Shoprite Group.

“We look forward to witnessing Ora’s journey ahead and we’d like to wish Brad all the best with the upcoming MotoGP season.”

From March 24 to March 26 at the Algarve International Circuit in Portugal, the 2023 MotoGP season gets underway.
