I think it is safe to say that I write this on behalf of most Krugersdorpers.

When will the powers that be at our municipality, Mogale City, stop with their seemingly childish behaviour and actually start doing their job?

As a resident of this beautiful town, I am ashamed at what you are doing. Please put away the recent award Mogale City won for being a clean town because you are clearly washing your dirty laundry in public.

And after we thought the ruling party and its peers had come to some sort of compromise … chairs were being thrown by members of the public during what was supposed to be a civil council meeting to discuss serious matters at hand.

Why are you letting things get out of hand like this? When are you going to wake up and smell the sewerage running down our streets?

I feel like a parent scolding a naughty child!

Running a municipality is not child’s play, Mogale City, yet you make it look like a very bad movie made with an extremely small budget. We all know you have the means to turn this around, yet you choose to be the laughing stock of the West Rand.

I for one have had enough with the charades and shenanigans that are going on week after week. It’s no joke any more. No one is laughing and believe me, no one is giving you a standing ovation either.

All I want to know is when are you going to start turning things around? When are you going to follow through on promises made?

If you can’t even answer these simple questions, than perhaps it is time to pack away your toys and go home.

We have had enough, Mogale City! Pull your socks up – for goodness sake!
