Editor's note

Thank you for the rain!

I am singing in the rain with delight and will cherish every drop we receive.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the Lord for the rain we have received during the last few days.

But even though the downpour is filling our nearby streams and dams to the brim, the level of water in the Vaal Dam is still critical.

But that should not stop us from being grateful and positive.

I read an interesting post on Facebook a couple of days ago and I feel the need to share it.

The Minister of Water Affairs and Sanitation, Nomvula Mokonyane, said in a recent news report that her ministry feels ‘robbed’. She said they’d been praying for water for the crucial rivers and dams and instead they’d received floods and devastation.

Well I say, “Too bad, so sad, Madam Minister”.

We need water either way and your sour grapes will not dampen our spirits (excuse the pun).

I truly feel that now is not the time to play the blame game.

We should respect Mother Nature’s wrath and be grateful for what we receive because in actual fact, we waste more than we deserve.

I am singing in the rain with delight and will cherish every drop we receive.

May we all have a blessed and wet week ahead, and until next time, take care on the wet roads, Krugersdorp.
