The murder of Kevin McAlpine on 26 May and Anthony Scholefield on 10 May sounds like it could be a scene from a movie.
How can something like this happen in our community?
So many questions are running through my mind about these senseless murders, and I can’t imagine how many questions must be running through the minds of the family and friends of the victims.
It is truly heart breaking. No one deserves to die like this.
We here at the News would like to express our deepest sympathies with both McAlpine and Scholefield’s loved ones during this difficult time.
It shocked us to the core to write about these brutal crimes and we have made it our duty to help get the police’s message across; the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
I know there is not much that can be said to take away the pain of losing a loved one and I know that many fear this will just be another crime swept under the rug.
But I feel we need to trust the authorities and let them do their job.
