We here at the News send our deepest sympathies to the Bright family of Roodepoort who is currently going through a very terrible ordeal.
Reading the Roodepoort Record’s article of how the mother and her three children were hijacked and ultimately becoming victims of a very horrific accident is beyond comprehend.
The sheer audacity of these hijackers make me sick.
I just have one question for future would-be hijackers out there; will you also go this far to steal a vehicle?
I cannot even imagine what went through that terrified mother’s mind while one hijacker was sitting on her and her children while trying to make a run for it.
All I have left to say is well-done to the security patrol officer who risked his own life too. Your efforts in catching these heartless criminals made a tremendous difference.
To the friends and family of the Brights, your unwavering support, prayers and courage will carry this family on their road to recovery.
The time has come for us to take back our community.
