It must be noted, despite all the doom and gloom, there are some terrific stories in Krugersdorp.

This past week, a few of these stories truly touched my heart and I feel that it needs to be shared.

The first story is of Tannie Loo who turned 100. The News was there when her family wished her well and celebrated her milestone birthday with her.

It was a happy day and Tannie Loo inspired all with her wise words and caring nature.

The second story, and I must say it’s my favourite, is of a 78-year-old man who found love again after being a widow for nine years.

He sent a picture to me of him and his new bride and they look incredibly happy. I cannot help but smile and pinch back a tear when I look at the picture.

I decided to use the picture on the front page of the newspaper this week because of how beautiful it is.

Love truly is a beautiful experience and I really think it is time we start loving more.

I want to use this opportunity to thank my community for sharing their lovely stories with us. Please do keep it up!

Not only do I thoroughly enjoy reading about it, it just simply makes me love life’s little miracles even more.

Let’s share the love Krugersdorp!

Until next time, take care.
