Well done Leo!

And now he finally did it! And I am so happy he finally won an Oscar as the best leading actor in a movie …

If I had to think of a reason why I am so happy, it would probably be because the poor man had been snubbed so many times before and it took him playing an unforgettable role to finally be recognised by The Academy.

The Academy by the way is made up of directors, actors and other leading movie specialists who judge their peers for this auspicious occasion which is The Academy Awards.

I never watch the Oscars, I find it utterly boring, but for some reason I was nailed to my television screen to hear if Leo would be called as the winner. And he was. Ah, what relief.

We can all learn a valuable lesson from Leo’s win.

Even though it took him more than 20 years to finally win his Oscar, he never stopped producing Oscar worthy performances during those 20 years. He also never stopped trying to spread the message of saving the world from global warming.

For me, the lesson is quite clear and I am not going to say it because it should be clear to you when you read this.

I will, however, end of by asking, what is your Oscar trophy? What will it take from you to earn your Oscar and when you do win your Oscar, will it be everything you wanted?

If you never win your Oscar, will you give up? Will you continue to fight for what you believe is right?

It’s something to think about, Krugersdorp.

Until next week.
