This week the three police officers, who are charged with murder for the execution style killing of an already wounded suspect, will appear in court again.

Rumour has it that thousands of people will be at Krugersdorp’s Magistrates’ Court in support of these officers.

Of course the News will be there to document what is happening.

The situation still remains a tricky one with a clear public divide: was it wrong or was it right of them to kill him?

I can just image what must be going through their minds. Their instruction was to protect and serve, not just themselves but first and foremost their community.

By punishing the very people who fight crime on our behalf, are we not removing their purpose?

Or have they gone too far by judging the suspect by means of death?

All I can add to this is that the legal representatives of both parties have a big task at hand.

The saying “think twice before you pull the trigger” applies clearly here.

But the real question is who should have thought twice?

Just a though …
