Does this mean that every single item you might find outside your property could potentially be a hidden message for burglars?
I think in this day and age, everything is possible.

Yes I always lock my doors, even if I am just putting the trash out and yes I am always alert.
If they are going to break in at my house … I will make sure they struggle.
