We’ve all experienced it … being conned some way or another and we’ve all heard of someone in need who uses social media to attract attention.

But now it hits home.

A Krugersdorp couple chose to con their community in order to help their friends in need. Perhaps at first one would say it is very noble of them because they care for their friends.

Others decided to crucify them.

In today’s day and age, we are constantly being conned.

By simply rolling down your car window a hawker will tell you that the sunglasses he is ‘selling’ is actually for free, all you have to do is make donation towards him.

We read about corruption every day from literally everywhere. It is no secret that conning someone has become very frequent and easy.

We as the media also con people. They say that media twists the truth and misinterprets what other say. Media houses will sensationalise a headline making the public believe the worst has happened … just another form of conning.

How do we stop, or rather, can it be stopped?

Only the truth will set you free.

Start today. Let’s all start living a con-free life.
