Have we become a society that sweeps problems under the rug?

Perhaps if we do not see it, we do not have to deal with it.

Something I believe that is not being addressed by our local government it begging in Krugersdorp.

Practically each intersection in Krugersdorp has around three or four beggars pleading for money, a job or some food.

Some are very sincere and will accept whatever is given to them, while others have hidden agendas.

Krugersdorp’s bylaws clearly states that soliciting at an intersection is against the law, yet the law is never enforced.

So why must it become society’s problem if the local government cannot even practice their own law?

The general rule of thumb is to ignore these beggars and to not feed their habits, but how do you ignore an increasing problem?

Something to think about Krugersdorp.
