With the IEC tallying the votes, the news team weighed in on Krugersdorpers’ views on why they took to the polls on 7 May.

The overall feeling throughout was that they are voting for change.

No more than ever is the desire for change as strongly felt in the streets of Krugersdorp as it was on voting day.

Many say they are voting for a better future with more jobs and no poverty.

Perhaps their voting dreams will come true in the next five years as our nation once again voted the ANC into government?

No matter which political party runs our country, all the people of SA want is a party which puts their needs first.

Shall we see change in the next five years?
I for one hope so.
