With Women’s Month in full swing, many residents in the community are making efforts to commemorate and recognise the importance of the various and vital roles that women play in the world.

“I started running in January and posting it on social media not knowing that I’m influencing other people to start running,” says founder Thapelo Leholo.

He mentioned that the purpose of the social club is to allow people to interact with each other physically without social media stealing that interaction. Ten people have joined the club already and the numbers are rising.

“We encourage people to never stop working and always take care of themselves. It is also a club that kids in the township can come join,” he concludes.
