Wilson Malobolo (32) and Lerato (14) made history at Krugersdorp Bowling Club (KBC) as a father-son duo.
This was after Wilson won the KBC singles event final while his son Lerato won the Junior Gauteng singles event in Randburg – all on the same day.
“I believe this has never happened before in the club and also the first time in the Sables District,” said KBC spokesperson David Parker.
David added that the duo has played lawn bowls for six years.
“We enjoy it a lot. Our favourite part of playing bowls is spending time together. We do not have a lot of time together due to work and school. The sport gives us a great opportunity to bond,” Wilson said.
David concluded by praising Wilson and Lerato on their achievement.
“All the KBC members are extremely proud of their success.”
