According to the secretary of the Lions, Eugene Marais, he sees great potential for local players RJ Barnard (Monnas) and Lindsey Jansen (Nories).
During the day, there was also a kicking competition, where participants had the opportunity to win a rugby ball, signed by SA rugby legends.
Former Monumentarian Nicole Swart told the News how impressed she was that Monnas is hosting such a big rugby event.
Spectator Marcus Krause jokingly said that there are a lot of big players but added that it exceeded his expectations of how rugby can be played.
