Comrades runners are urged to enter before time is up

The entry period for next year’s 97th Comrades closes on December 11 or as soon as the entry cap of 23 000 has been reached, whichever comes first.

Nearly 90% of the 23 000 entry cap for next year’s 97th Comrades Marathon has been sold with the entry process closing on December 11.

CMA Race and Operations Manager Ann Ashworth has called on runners to get their entry in if they have not yet already entered. The entry tally currently stands at nearly 20 000 (as of December 8) with 72 countries represented in next year’s 49th Comrades Up Run.

Ann further emphasised that the entry period closes on December 11 or as soon as the entry cap of 23 000 has been reached, whichever comes first. Prospective entrants are encouraged to get their entries in early to avoid disappointment.

Entry fees remain the same as that of the 2023 race. Entry is free to all runners who have completed the Comrades Marathon 25 times or more.

Runners can enter online via the Comrades Marathon website or the Comrades App.
