Who is the best in the West?

Sports fans, parents and pupils came from all over to enjoy a weekend of serious sport at this year’s annual Best of the West Easter Festival hosted by Krugersdorp High School.

The event took place over Easter weekend at KHS’ sports grounds.

Here school rivals met to fight it out on the rugby and hockey field to see who will go home with the winning scores.

The results were as follow:

Rugby Opens Scores:

• The Jabulani Club rugby team scored 17 (2 tries, 2 conversions and a penalty). They won with two points against CBC Boksburg who scored 15 (2 tries, 1 conversion, 1 penalty).

• The Monnas Kwaggas left disappointed with a score of 14 (2 tries and 2 conversions) against HS Linden who scored 24 (3 tries, 3 conversions, 1 penalty).

• The Khosa 7’s team made Krugersdorp proud by scoring 20 (4 tries) against Jabulani 7’s who scored 10 (2 tries) in the Club Rugby Promotional 7’s match.

• The Pretoria Boys lost 0 to 22 against the Ligbron Akadamy team who scored 3 tries, 2 conversions and 1 penalty.

• HS Waterkloof scored a whopping 50 (7 tries, 6 conversions and a penalty) against St George who scored 10 points with two tries.

• The battle between Roodepoort and Krugersdorp were on, when HS Roodepoort scored 29 points (3 tries, 4 conversions and 2 penalties) against KHS 18 with 2 tries and penalties.
