Matrics of St Ursula’s make mom and dad proud

There were tears of joy as 2023 matriculants of St Ursula's High School received their matric results.

Congratulations were in order at St Ursula’s High School on January 18 when the class of 2023 received their matric results.

It was evident that on arrival, many learners were tense after having to wait in suspense, thinking ‘did I do enough? What is my final mark?’. However, once they made their way into the schoolyard and had that piece of paper in their hand, it was like a mountain was lifted off their shoulders and joy soon took over. Now the celebrations can start.

Of course, with their parents present, there is always the other question, ‘did I make mom and dad proud?’ By the expression on their faces, they have succeeded.

With many of the learners now excited about what life will be like after school it was overall an emotional affair.

Tears of joy were flowing and matriculants could be seen embracing each other.

The Krugersdorp News also spoke with some learners and many agreed that they hardly slept a wink with the long wait being described as agonising.

Nonetheless, the hard work paid off in the end, and principal Diane Granger is proud of every matriculant saying she is confident that they have a bright future.
