A fatal crash occurred at the corner of Payne Street and Trezona Avenue in Witpoortjie at about 14:00 this afternoon, October 14, involving a motorcyclist and a school minibus.
The Krugersdorp News together with the Roodepoort Record were on the scene where an eyewitness described what happened.
“The motorcyclist was speeding down on Trezona and the school bus was crossing to Payne Street when they collided, leading to two fatalities.”
Another eyewitness said both the victims were allegedly school children.
Resident Dominique van Wyk said there are numerous accidents on this corner, and this is the ninth one this year.
The EMS, JMPD, Mogale City Public Safety and the police are currently on the scene.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes at the moment as the road is currently closed.
