Historic Mogale City court revamped

Mogale City Local Municipality confirms the iconic courtroom can now be utilised for filming, at a cost of course.

Mogale City’s Heritage, Arts and Culture Section is excited to announce the reopening of its historic courtroom after a temporary slumber due to renovations.

According to Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) communication officer Refilwe Mahlangu, the preserved building that dates to the late 19th century is now a newly revamped courtroom that offers an unparalleled backdrop for a variety of film-related activities.

She said the iconic Krugersdorp courtroom was officially opened by President Paul Kruger in 1890 and was in use from 1891 to 1976, maintaining its historic charm and authenticity.
