Infamous Pinehaven intersection sees multiple incidents in one day
Two incidents occurred at the infamous intersection; one at the start of the day and the other in the afternoon.
A person lost their life early this morning, September 26 after being struck by a vehicle near the infamous Pinehaven intersection. By the afternoon, three vehicles were left damaged when another crash occurred.
At about 06:00, emergency groups across town reported that a fatal pedestrian accident occurred near the intersection and that one of the lanes heading north to the N14 was closed to early morning traffic. At 13:00, the Krugersdorp News received a notification of another crash at the intersection.
According to the technical manager of BCI Security, Dewaldt Fourie, the collision occurred when the driver of a bakkie was hit by another vehicle that was heading towards Cradlestone Mall.
“The drivers involved had minor injuries however there were no reported deaths. Public Safety, Help 24 and BCI have already cleared the roads and the drivers involved have been accompanied to the hospital,” Fourie confirmed.
