Fire breaks out at school in Munsieville

Classroom damaged as fire breaks out at secondary school.

At 09:45 on August 16, a fire broke out at Thuto Lefa Secondary School in Munsieville.

According to West Rand Emergency Services regional commander Gerhard Nieuwoudt, no injuries were reported.

However, a classroom was damaged as a result of the fire.

Firefighters extinguish the flames.

“It is nothing serious, it’s just a container that caught alight. Firefighters were quick to arrive on the scene and had no major challenges. They extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported,” Nieuwoudt concluded.
