At about 15:15 this afternoon, August 13, two vehicles collided at the Voortrekker Road and Wolmarans Street intersection.
According to a street vendor, a driver on his way in the direction of Key West Shopping Center down Voortrekker, was speeding through an orange light, when the other driver jumped the red traffic light, which led to the collision.
According to a JMPD officer at the scene, there were two parties involved, where one sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. He added that the other party was not injured.
The Krugersdorp News visited the scene, where debris was strewn across the road and traffic was heavily backed up.
