The fire behind a nursery located on the R28 was confirmed to be only a veld fire.
Emergency Management Service’s regional commander Gerhard Nieuwoudt confirmed that it is only a veld fire.

As the Krugersdorp News visited the site today, July 17, employees were dowsing the flames with hosepipes to prevent the fire from spreading to the nursery.
