Donate to the Teddy Bear Foundation and help abused kids

Help abused kids by just adding a couple of items to your shopping basket and dropping them off at the Teddy Bear Foundation.

The Teddy Bear Foundation (TBF) provides services to abused children at no cost to their families.

According to the foundation’s official website they provide efficient and professional services to prevent and minimise the devastating effects of abuse on children and their families.

The foundation’s Krugersdorp branch manager, Faith Nkomo, said that children are deserving of care and protection and the TBF seeks to provide support to children through their journey of healing.

“Donating towards this cause will go a long way in meeting the varied needs of children. Further, it will enable the branch to run smoothly,” Nkomo added.

According to the director of the TBF, Dr Shaheda Omar, one of their priorities is to raise funds to provide services at their branches, where one of them is located in Krugersdorp.

She said that running these branches also comes with a cost, and one way the public could assist them would be by adding an extra item to their trolley at the end of the month, to ensure their offices remain good, clean and fresh.

“Currently, we are in desperate need of toilet paper, although this is not a pretty thing to ask for it is essential for the running of the organisation. We are also in need of thick bleach or sanitary cleaner, dishwashing liquid, multi-surface cleaning spray, air freshener, liquid hand soap and paper towels,” she concluded.

If anybody wants to donate to the TBF, they can drop off donations at their branch at 110 Ockerse Street.
