Cancer awareness is of utmost importance in the Krugersdorp community.
This was evident after Mogale City officials and PNA employees wore flip-flops in support of Flip Flop Day.
According to PNA manager Corné Korsten, the Flip Flop Day initiative forms part of the co-operate social investment programme and the Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (CHOC).
“Children with cancer need support during this time and Flip Flop Day is a creative and engaging initiative that not only raises awareness about paediatric cancer but also generates much-needed funds for the foundation’s crucial programmes and services.”

Founded in 1997, CHOC is an NPO comprised of caring, committed, and passionate individuals who strive to support and stand up for the well-being of children and teenagers battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. With their comprehensive support programmes, they strive to make the journey of those impacted by childhood cancer less burdensome and save lives through early detection.

To take part in supporting children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer, you can purchase a Flip Flop Day sticker at any PNA store for just R10.
“Every sticker goes a long way in bringing happiness and support to those who need it most. Let’s come together and make a difference,” Corné concluded.
