Homeless treated to a meal and affection

Honey Field Charity along with the Tower of Life treated the homeless as part of their Valentine's Day initiative.

Valentine’s Day might have come and gone but the love the community has for one another will always remain.

They say little acts of kindness go a long way and this very deed plays a huge impact on the lives of the less fortunate.

The homeless enjoy a meal.

Honey Field Charity along with the Tower of Life thus decided to feed and spoil the homeless as part of their Valentine’s community-themed initiative recently.

According to the founder of Honey Field, Ann Bezuidenhout, they aim to feed many vulnerable people in the community weekly, however, every year during the week of Valentine’s Day, the main objective is to assist the homeless, especially those living in the street, with a meal, some sweet delights, gifts, and affection.

Many of the people who attended were indeed homeless men who reside at The Tower of Life yet other vulnerable men and women were also invited.

“Over 100 people lined up on the day to be fed and be well-nourished,” said Ann.

The Honey Field Charity volunteers are Elian Taylor, Clinsie Taylor, Elize Bardenhorst, Valerie Turner and Dean Saunders.

The organisation reaches out to many parts of town apart from the CBD. The organisation has done this project for several years and hopes to reach out to the wider community of Krugersdorp.
