Truck rollover: No injuries or deaths confirmed

Mogale City’s Response Services confirmed that no injuries or deaths were reported following Tuesday morning’s truck crash.

Regional commander Gerhard Niewoudt confirmed the crash occurred at about 06:00.

He added the cause was due to one of the truck drivers losing control which led to the crash and ultimately a rollover.

“The driver of the truck transporting maize meal lost control and overturned into the intersection losing some of its load in the process. The truck was also damaged. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths were reported.”

In addition, Niewoudt revealed that traffic control was a major challenge and that the process of clearing the scene is ongoing.
