Food security project coming to Kagiso
Small-scale farmers are invited to join the Work the Soil event on November 25.
The community is invited to join the Action SA team when they launch a food security project in Tshepisong, Kagiso.
The project called Work the Soil will kick off on November 25 and aims to mentor and assist aspirant and current small-scale farmers to promote farming and food security in the community.
The event will take place in the open space on Otlega Drive, Ext 8 at noon.
The idea is to transform dumping spaces into food gardens as growing your own food is important in the current economy.
One of these projects has already successfully been rolled out in Soweto.
